anti spyware beta related problem i think

the last program i installed was microsoft anti spyware
beta, after i restarted the computer to complete the
installation, when i typed my password it goes past the
welcome screen and my background picture comes up but the
start bar or my desktop icons don't show up, i have tried
leaving it for as long as 3 hours and it still won't
load, i have a lot of data which i would really not like
to lose, a lot of songs, personal photos etc, could
someone please help me try to fix it?? i have already
tried running it in safe mode and also using the last
known good settings option in the menu but it doesn't
work, i would very much appreciate people's help and
suggestions, hope to hear from ppl soon, thanx

Don't you have a backup? If not, you should never install
a beta or unproven software.

yeah i had made a backup but i recently deleted it so i
could make a fresh one but b4 i could do it this
happened, i hope someone can come up with a solution soon
