anti spyware beta and windows firewall

Has anyone noticed that after installing microsofts
antispyware beta version that windows firewall is turned
off and it is impossible to turn it back on. Windows xp
home.

This is a result not of installation of Microsoft Antispyware, but of
removal of spyware itself, and it is rather easy to fix, particularly in XP
SP2:

It can be turned back on. It's just a long process that
I do not remember. Call tech support.
