This is an interesting concept:

Computex 2008

Antec Site

I quite like it although in truth it's really just a fancy test chassis.

Your thoughts?

edit (Ian) : Moved this to hardware, as anything posted in quick news appears in the daily news roundup part of the frontpage

edit (dumbo) : Oops, think I'd know that by now

IF they had a perspex dome or something that encased the whole thing then perhaps, but surely even with that fan its gonna get covered in dust?

Something new though.

I think a perspex dome would somewhat negate the cooling factor.

The dust problem did occur to me though.

Although, when you think about it, conventional computer cases soon clog up inside with dust, at least that skeleton case makes for easy - and therefore probably frequent - cleaning.

Not my cup of tea, but it would be fantastic for testing components!

I caught the biggest spider I've seen in this country the other day, I've got no idea how it got into the kitchen... but I kept it until Bex got back from work so I could show her before I set it free  No doubt it's now giving someone else a fright on a different floor ;)

haha did you take a picture?

I saw a big wolf the other day in my street but didn't take a picture. She was huge!

Unfortunately neither  I'm not keen on them when they are this big (wouldn't really want to have it crawling around on me!).

Ok, from cases to spiders, I'm game ;)

A few months ago, noticed a slight tickle on my ear, reached round and grabbed something off the side of my head.

Looked in my hand and it was one of those big hairy eight legged jobbies

Now I'm not scared of spiders but I still jumped about ten feet in the air :D

I dropped it and it scuttled off somewhere. That has, as far as I can remember, never happened to me before.

And talking of spiders, took this pic on my balcony a few evenings ago at night (Nikon Coolpix S500), this spider decided to try it's luck spinning a web there. After a few days of lean pickings, it moved on.

Sorry for changing the thread Flops, I'll split it in a bit if you want :thumb:

Just a few mins ago, I saw our spiders little brother - and captured it! I won't even repeat what I said as it ran across the floor, but it's a bloody fast little thing! It's in the bushes outside now, well away from the flat!

The note is a little faded with the flash, but it's a hello to the last few spider posters ;)

hahaha nice one admin :)

I appreciate that and she does look big!!! I killed a really big one last week it was massive.
I think it is that time of the year for these things to come out.

Funny how this thread changed from talking about a case into discussing spiders. Just shows what people think of this case.

You really shouldn't kill spiders, spiders are your friends.

Spiders don't fly about, wade in dog poo then settle down on your food. Flies do.

And spiders eat flies.

Human beings, in their arrogance and ignorance.... often willingly destroy all that is good for them.

And I wonder, psd, would you kill all that appears ugly to you.

I actually think spiders look quite magnificent.

Woohoo, Flops the Hippy gets all serious about squishing or not squishing bugs :D

But you know I'm right, don't you? ;)

Not I sir, so that narrows the odds eh?

Probably Chris Postill

Enid Blyton eh?

Couldda been worse, you could've had a Famous Five avvy.

'You're so licky Timmy'

Does that have any relevance to anybody here?

Probably not.

Think The Young Ones.
