You have many problems...

System Restore does NOT exist on Win2k and your "Caps Lock" key is broken.

A few basics here first.

1. Typing in all caps is what's known as SHOUTING and is considered rude.
I suggest you type in normal proper case the same way one would write.
2. Instead of starting a new thread with a new subject line, simply reply
to the post to which you are responding, so that the thread can be followed.

I suggest you contact the company from which you purchased the computer and
just tell them that you would like to restore your system back to the day
that you purchased it and ask them how to do it, as this varies from vendor
to vendor. If you have any issues with the Windows operating system itself,
you should post in a Windows Me group. This group is about Windows 2000.
The Windows Me groups have "windowsme" in their names.

Let me attempt a wild guess: you tried a WinME to W2K downgrade? That would
explain why restore fails since W2K doesn't support a downgrade to an OS it
knows nothing about. There is no upgrade path from WinME to W2K. The reason
is simple, WinME was created after W2K.

Using capitals when communicating is the equivalent of SHOUTING. I must
apologize, that was uncalled for.
