I am also having a problem creating a network for my two
computers. I am using a D-link DI624 wireless router which
is hooked up to the computer I use which is also the
computer with the direct connection to the internet. When
I run the network wizard on my computer I recieve the
message:
"Other computers cannot connect to the Internet through
this computer.
In addition to its Internet connection, this computer must
have a connection to your network."

The other computer can run the wizard fine and even
recieves the internet connection from my computer
(sometimes). I have tried setting up the router from the
beginning more than once but I have not gotten anywhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Julie,

Normally, if you have a wireless router, you would not need to setup
either of your computers as an internet gateway. Is there a reason
why the router cannot provide the internet gateway function?

Cheers,

The Wizard option that you're choosing says that "other computers on
my network connect to the Internet through this computer." Is that
right? Since you have a wireless router, that's an unusual setup.

Please post another news group message describing your network in
detail. Describe what type of Internet connection you have, what's
connected to each port of the router, how each computer gets its
Internet access, etc.
