Another TROJAN.GEMA virus question.

Shawn

Yesterday I had a virus on my computer. I think it was a
Trojan.Gema virus. I downloaded the new virus
definitions from symantec and ran my virus scan and it
removed the virus but now when I log into Windows XP, it
tells me the file wminf.exe is missing. The original
location was Windows\system32\wminf.exe Does anyone know
what this was or what this did? Is there any way to get
the error message to quit showing up everytime I log into
Windows? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all and have a happy holiday.

Wminf.exe is a part of this virus and it's a part of older versions of
Media Player. What file the error message is referring to depends on its
location but the chances are good that it's a leftover from the trojan.

Details about the trojan and a description of the manual removal steps
