Another Theme Question??

If I have a theme set up in Office 2007, and everything is also set in PPT
(master slides, layouts, etc) and the theme is utilized for say a few months
and then we figure out that it needs to be edited, how does the new version
affect the previous presentations?

Maybe we need to swap out one of the accent colors to make it more effective
and tweak some of the layouts and add a few more.

Assuming the edited theme has the same exact name as the previous
one...would the presentations made under the original version automatically
update to the new version of the theme once opened, or would the theme need
to be reapplied to them (along w/ any specific layouts).

I'm sorry if this is a "duh" type of question but we aren't utilizing 2007
just yet and I'm trying to prepare for any potential questions in advance as
I meet with the powers that be that we need to prepare for the rollout!

Thanks!
Christine

This is not a "duh" type question at all -- it's actually a very good one.

Updating a theme will not affect existing presentations. Your users will
need to apply the new theme to their presentations in order to get the new
color(s) and layout(s) (and anything else added/changed).
