Another sound capture problem with ATI All in Wonder 9000

Hi,

You might remember me from such threads as "Sound capture problem with
ATI All in Wonder 9000", where I forgot to turn on the recording volume
in XP. Well, I've managed to record a video fom my handycam to my
computer (including sound!) using my ATI All in Wonder 9000 video card.
However, the sound quality is very poor.

There is a continual "skip" in the sound during playback. It almost
sounds like someone has pressed "mute" every 5 seconds during the
record. Has anyone experienced this? More importantly, does anyone know
how to stop this?

Assuming you can play the handycam into a TV without problem, your sure your
connections are good and you have no problems in Device Manager, probably
frames are being dropped. Try capturing at a less demanding setting.
What are your system specs and do you have the latest chipset drivers
installed, UDMA turned on, on the capture drive, and the HDD defragged?
