Another question... This one about resizing a document???

Does anyone know if it's possible to resize a document.. to have it
fit on a smaller paper?

I have a document in 8 1/2 X 11 Format and want to be able to scale it
down to a 3 X 5 size.

Do I change the paper size or do something with the scaling by say 45%
in the print page setup?

Hi

Rather than physically change the paper size, I use the print options which
are fantastic in Word 2002

Print, properties, page set up, page layout.

Try printing two pages or three pages on one side and you'll get close to
what you want in terms of format.*

Good luck

Four methods I've met --

1. Go to File > Page Setup and the paper size to whatever you want. This
doesn't scale the document, only the page size. You'll need to adjust the
margins, font sizes, etc, manually.

2. Do it through your printer. Some printers can scale their output.

3. Use Acrobat.

4. If your document is one page only: Embed it as a linked object in another
document, then apply a sizing percentage.

BTW, to fit 8.5 onto 3 you'll need to come down to 35 percent, so if your
original is in (say) 10pt, your output will be in 3.5 point -- ie, a tad
hard on the eyes.

Actually I have almost figured this one out myself.. in case anyone
replys.... but the problem I'm having is .. Is there a way to put more
"paper sizes" into word?

The paper size I'm looking for isn't in the choices.

You can specify a custom size; just type the dimensions into the "Height"
and "Width" boxes.
