Hi again. Is there anywqay to disable the windows keys, "Start Menu"
and ther "COntext Menu" buttons on the keyboard? We have a few
applications, older do ones which 'just worl' but fail when either of
these keys are pressed. I would like to disable them temporarily if
possible

Thanks
Jamie

Two of the people here use Word Perfect 5.1. It locks up with the
windows keys. So each time they need a new keyboard I just pry off
those keycaps before I install the keyboard. Works like a charm.

Hi, sorry, i was typing it with the IME on, can make it difficult
somewhat at times.

No, we have some legacy dos software. Currently it works, barely, ut
was hard enough finding a P4 or Athlon motherboard with ISA slots, but
we have it running.

However, once the program is running, if anyone accidently hits one of
the "windows keys", tyhe program freezes. It doesn't do this for the
ALT-TAB thank god. But we would like to either disable them for the
application (We can make a batch file to disable them when the program
starts up/shuts down, ir disable them on a system wide level.

I know the easy way is to use a plain keyboard, which is what i have
been pushing, but the boss wants it to work this way.

Thanks

Jamie

Jamie,

Your spelling is a bit confusing. If you have software that pertains to
these keys for your keyboard, check within the program, if not....check my
tweaks page as I have edits to disable the windows key, etc.
