Another 'Can't send Emails'...

N

Nat

I've just started using Windows Mail b/c I thought it would be easier - maybe
not after seeing all these questions!

I can receive mail fine, but cannot send any. Here is the error msg. I get :

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject 'Re:
Younie Lawnscapes People's Choice', Account: 'pop.secureserver.net', Server:
'smtpout.secureserver.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '553 Sorry, that
domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts.', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Thanks for any help you can give me!

That server uses port 80 (instead of port 25) for SMTP.
Make the change here: Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties,
Advanced.

If the problem continues after changing the port number, you will have to
substitute your ISP's SMTP server. If you need help with that, let us know
who your ISP is.
