annoying windows installer

I have a Dell Inspiron 8100, Windows XP Professional and Adobe Acrobat 6.0
Professional

Whenever I start Adobe, Windows Installer starts. How could I resolve this
annoyance.

What is it trying to install? Was Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Pro fully
installed, i.e., had all of the components that were checked
finished installing?
