Annoying boot message on P4P800

On bootup i get the following message:
Secondary slave drive-Atapi incompatible
press F1........etcetra

But there is nothing on the sec. slave !
If i put a cd or a hd on it windows recognizes it and it works just
fine, but the message remains !

my config.

Asus P4P800, P4 3.00 Ghz, 1024 mb DDR pc400, WindowsXP Pro
Bios version 1010

1e ide master Toshiba dvd-rom
1e slave Lite-on cd-rw
2e master Pioneer dvd-rw
2e slave --
3e master HD ST380013as sata (boot)
3e slave HD ST380013as sata

2e controller: Promise Ultra 100tx2 with:
D0 HD St380011a
D1 HD St380021a
D2 HD Ic35l080a
D2 --

please your advice for this anoying problem.

What happens if you switch the 2ndary slave from "AUTO" to "NONE" in the
BIOS ??

I use a P4P800 here too (non-deluxe)

Which P4P800 have you got? The non-deluxe
or deluxe? And is the 2nd SATA formatted?

And are you running the SATA hdd's
normally? Or as Raid 0? or 1?

The secondary slave it's talking about
would be the 2nd SATA hdd.

That is STILL classed as an ide connection
even tho a SATA hdd is connected to it.

And also, how many watts is the power
supply? If it's 300-350 watts, it probably
can't handle the devices/all the hdd's in your case.

You may have to get a better/bigger power
supply.

It's fixed, it was a setting in the bios, something with more than 3
devices,
all is ok now.
