What exactly does that mean?

Does "RC", in your post, stand for "Recovery Console" or "Release Candidate" ?

He is trying to say that the Windows 7 newsgroup now hold a place for XP
questioning I think

RC - Release Candidate

Tim

It is Release Candidate. You have to by-pass Kevin (he is a nice guy) but he is
mentally handicapped and he goes off on things like new releases as you can see.
This will also not be the last time that he will do this.

I Was Simply Saying That A Newer Version Of The Windows XP Virtual Machine
Is Now Available 4 Windows 7 Users Who Have Computer Processors That Are
Capable Of Emulating Virtual Environments, Which Means That Microsoft Still
Plans 2 Support Running Windows XP In A Virtual Machine On Top Of Windows 7!

RC = Release Candidate!

Yeah Well If Microsoft Actually Came 2 Their Senses And Recalled Windows
Vista, And Gave Every One Who Purchased Vista A Free Copy Of Windows 7, The
European Union, And Other Corporations, Might Actually Get Off Their Backs 4

Have you downloaded it? What is your first prognosis of it? Is it
likely to be a success? Would we need more MVPs to support it?

Uncle Bill.

It's actually two separate download packages. First Windows Virtual PC
and then the actual XP VPC Machine. The VPC Machine will not load on
a PC that does not have hardware virtualization. The software only works
on Windows 7's top two SKU's, Professional and Ultimate.

The download/information page is found here:

Yes I have it running on a Seven PC. Basically it's a complete XP
setup which like any other requires AntiVirus and other items for a
new XP setup. The new Virtual PC software has some nice features
not available in VPC 2007 (SP1). For legacy apps that require XP
it will provide a solution.

Since it's basically XP running within Seven not sure there is a need
for more support since those areas (VPC/XP) are already in place.

Get a clue, please.

Extended Support for WinXP SP3 (only) continues until 2014, with or without
Win7 and XP Mode.
