Hello all,

I would like to announce a freeware program offered by our site. This
is true freeware, and is void of the naggy adware, spyware, pop-ups,
and trojans found in other similar programs.

What is it?

MyWxThingLT

MyWxThing LT (My Weather Thing Lite) provides current weather for any
one of over 6,000 worldwide weather stations and a next day local
forecast for US locations. Local weather includes a graphical display
of the temperature, dew point, sky conditions, weather, pressure,
wind, and visibility. The model-derived forecast includes next-day
high and low temperature for US stations. MyWxThing LT functions with
little user interaction and low system overhead, and runs from the
System Tray, with the icon showing the current temperature. Setup is
as easy as clicking on a map and selecting the location of interest.
The display in MyWxThing is customizable, such as to display
temperatures in Celsius or Fahrenheit. This program is freeware and
does not contain spyware, adware, trojans, or annoying pop-ups found
in many other "free" programs. It is called 'lite' because of its
ease of use and very low system overhead. Visit

Thank you! Very simple interface, simple file set, and clean uninstall.

You may want to work on the memory footprint, which is 11K. Weather Watcher,
for example, only has a 2K footprint.

Excellent program! One tiny thing is that it was quite hard for me to
select NJ because the map is so tiny. I finally (after many tries) got to
Newark Int Airport. Other than that, looks great!

Nice programme !!
On installation ,spybots teatimer popped up with an added registry entry ,
with an unusual name .Please could you confirm this is a normal addition.The
entry is this..

InnoSetup is the program used to install the program. One of the
settings in InnoSetup is to save program information about the
installation so that when an update to MyWxThing is installed, it can
write over previous versions of the program. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the followup. In the next update to the program, multiple
maps will be available, for better resolution.
