Nick Argent

I am a beginner and tearing out what little hair I have left.

I have a slide witha title, and then a fairly complicated diagram, which I made from individual text boxes and arrows. I would like to be able to add chunks of the table one at a time, but I don't seem to be able to make it work. I have tried with "Appear" and others. The slide appears without the title, which then appears, as if by magic.

I have a feeling I am missing something obvious here, but I have spent most of my day trying to figure out what.

Any assistance gratefully received.

Nick,
For PowerPoint 2002/2003.
You probably added an entrance effect to your title which appears on click. If you activate the custom animation task pane, you should see your title as the first item in the animation list, this number should also appear on your slide next to your title. Click on it and choose with previous or after previous in the begin section, if you want the title to appear immediately.
As to your diagram, if it is made of individual textboxes as you claim, add an entrance effect to each item and animate it on click, do it in the order you want the items to appear. If you want to change the order use the up/down arrow in the taskpane to promote or demote your item in the list.
Does this help?

Yes it helps.
Thank you very much. I was getting very tangled up in there.
