Animated Clip Art Bug

Is there going to be any attempt to fix the bugs in some
of the animated online clip-art pieces that won't
function in Powerpoint 2003 on Windows XP but which
previously worked on Windows 2000 & Office 2000? I
posted a question about such a bug a few weeks ago
regarding a clip-art piece that I really love using in my
powerpoint presentation (but which no longer works) and
received a reply from someone that a "bug report" would
be filed. To date, though, nothing seems to have been
done to resolve the problem and I'm wondering if anything
ever will be. Just search the online animated clip art
in powerpoint using the word "Welcome" and you will see
the animated item that I'm referring to.

I can't tell you anything about Microsoft's bug fixes ...

BUT: I found that "Welcome"-Animated-GIF - it's not working in my PowerPoint
2003 either. So I opened it in AnimationShop (which came with my copy of
PaintShopPro). It displayed that it was set to "do not loop", I changed this
to "looping" and saved the changed file - and it does work!

If you have the opportunity, to use this (or a similar) program, you can
change its behaviour.

If you do not have that possibility, send me an e-mail:
us"at"ppt-user"dot"de - the file is only 11KB an I can mail it to you
easily. BTW: This is an offer especially for Jordan and his "pet"
animation - I will not start a "corrupted GIF service agency" ;-)

Think supertanker, not rowboat. MS stopping and turning is measured in months,
not weeks or days. ;-)
