Animate bullets

I am using PP 2002. I used a template to start. I
entered text into one of the already created bulleted
lists. However, the bulleted items are long. I copied
the text object (which calls it a Placeholder when you
right click on the border) and continued to fill in the
text. When I animate the bullets, it only animates the
first object (Placeholder). When I right click on the
copied object, it says Format Autoshape. Does this have
something to do with why it won't animate them? If I
can't animate a copied object, is there a way to have the
bulleted object split into 2 or 3 columns?

I have searched the MS Knowledge base, PP Help and this
newsgroup, but I can't seem to find any help. I must be
the only one with this issue! Please help!

You can animate a copied object, you just have to animate each object
manually.

Or apply the animation setting to the placeholder, then copy it. The copy
should have the same animation settings.

You need to highlight the text and then animate that (use the custom animation task pane)
It seems that you are animating the box the text is in.
