animate bulleted list....

I want t oanimate a bulleted list so each line appears after a mouse click.
In Custom animation, I have animated each line to appear, seven lines, seven
animations, all set to 'Start On Click.' However, when I play the slide, and
click the mouse for the first time, all the amimations play in sequence.
I.e., lines 2-7 don't wait for the next click, they just keep appearing all
by themselves. Am I doing something wrong, or do I have to put each line of
text in its own text box?

When you're running the animation to test are you in Slide Show mode or
clicking the Play button in the Animation Task Pane. When clicking the play
button, the replay ignores the CLICK command.
