I would like to animate chart series, not the entire chart. I am working with
a line chart.

I used to be able to do this without problem in the 2000 version, but 2003
does not make it as plain to figure out how to do and the Help section is not
helping.

Thanks,

Kate

Add an animation to a chart, and then select that chart in the animation
task pane. Choose Effect Options and then go to the Chart Animation tab.
Choose the "group" level there.

You may only have the option to animate "as one object." The options you see
here are based on a combination of the animation effect you chose and the
type of chart you're working with. If you see only "as one object," go back
and change your animation effect to something simple like a wipe and then
see if you have more group levels available on the chart animation tab.

Thanks a bunch EchoS...I had selected the Fly animation and it apparently had
been the problem.
