I plug the audio connector my Tv card through the line in of my A7n8x and i
have no sound when watching live Tv.
I only have sound after recording AVI.

My A7n8x in connected to my onkyo through coax spdif out.

I try to plug head phone to the green audio out and i have sound....

So my question is how to activate the line in through spidf out.

the nforce tray is cortectly configure, analogue and digital line activated
(line in) and not muted

System :
XP SP1
Nforce 3.13

Thank your your help

You cannot have a "Line in" through an output.
spidf out is for OUTPUT as in out from the card or out from whatever it is
on.
SPDIF IN is for input

Olivier,
The Line-in is automatically available on the analog output (Green) as
long as the mute is not checked. As I understand it, you have to select
the analog input that will be sent to digital output using the Input
sliders in the lower left corner of the panel.

Line in is on Blue connctor, not green.
Green is output only.
To connect audio(line)out of anything to input of onboard audio on
motherboard then it can only be to line in.
Same goes for Soundcards, blue is always line/aux in, green always line
out/front speaker out.

Am I missing a posting here? I don't disagree with what you say about
what goes where but I can't see where anybody stated the Green connector
was anything but an output. The OP says he has his audio-out ported
from his TV Card to the line-in connector. The output from his card can
be heard in his headphones, which are in the Green Jack. That's as it
should be but to get that same output on the S/PDIF connection, Line-In
needs to be selected in the Input area on the Control panel, or at least
that's what the nVidia tech .pdf indicates.

Guess I should have said "The SIGNAL that's INPUT to" the Line-In Jack
(Blue) is automatically available on the analog OUTPUT Jack (Green) as
long as.... I assumed people RTFM and know what jacks do what and it
appeared to me that the OP did. Sorry for my lack of clarity!!

Forget the color.
you re right output is green, an line in in blue.
But the pb still continu.
in the nforce dirver tou have 2 slider, one for analogue input and the other
for digital input Both are up and note mute.
I thing the pb comme from Multiimedia center 8.8 who is unable to open the
digital line in (only the analogue).
When i steup wizard the ATI MMC 8.8 the setup wizard ask me for witch enrty
comme the sound (line, mic, video, aux) and when i select them i start to
hear for 1/4 secsound and after nothing else

The most fun that a previously have a Leadteck expert 2000 delexue how was
plug caretly on the same sound card and i was working....
