"An unspecified error occured during system restore"

I bought a new HP notebook, and wanted to try system backup and restore. I
selected the recommended restore point, and I got this message:

system restore did not complete successfully. your computer's files ad
settings were not changed.
Details:
An unspecified error occured during system restore.


I tried 2 different more restore points, and I got the same message.

Then I found a problem with the notebook, exchange it with another one, but
the same model.

On this new notebook, I tried the system restore again, and got the same
message I mentioned above.


Can anybody help me how to fix this problem?
