an issue related to remote desktop

Hi,

Remote desktop can remember my password but cannot remember my default
domain. Each time it uses a wrong default domain and hence fails to login
in and reset the password to empty. Then I have to reenter my password and
change the domain to the correct one. There is a button "Save" to save my
current connection settings. But it doesn't save the default domain. To
solve this problem, I tried to find a way deleting the computer name from
remote desktop and hopefully I can re-enter the computer name and make
remote desktop to remember the correct domain.

Is it a remote desktop's known bug? Any help is much appreciated.

What version of the Remote Desktop client?
OS you are running the client on?
OS you are remoting into?
Is it an actual domain or a workgroup name?

Hi Shenan,

Thank you for the reply. My remote desktop client (RTC) is 6.0.6000.16386.
Both machines are XP sp 2. I think I am logoning to a domain, not a group.
It includes all the computers (several hundreds) in my company. Each time I
remote login to that particular computer, the RTC automatically switches the
domain to
my local computer name rather than the company domain. It used to work,
though. Also, if I remote login other computers, I don't have such a
problem at all. All these computers are very similar in terms of their OS
and hardware, and are connected to the same domain.

Can I upgrade to a newer RTC from MS web site?

Your further help is appreciated.
