I know of no way to "drag-and-drop" an Outlook item when viewing the item in
its own window. For example, I cannot click somewhere in the window or its
toolbar and choose to drag-and-drop it to my Windows desktop. In contrast, I
can easily do a drag-and-drop of an item when viewing it in a list (such as
in the default Outlook application or in an Advanced Find window). In some
cases, that becomes my workaround, but this is a non-trivial workaround
whenever I have to hunt for the item (that I have open in its own window) in
the appropriate listing.
