Anyone have any predictions on who will win this legal battle?

AMD, of course, is correct about the accusations against Intel, but
unfortunately Intel has two things that AMD does not....an absolutely
obscene amount of money to spend on legal issues, and some of the dirtiest
lawyers in the business. It is a sad fact that the same illegal practices
that AMD accuses Intel of in the corporate and retail environments also
extends to the legal world..Intel can literally "buy" experts that will say
what they want them to say, can use their market share to scare potential
witnesses, and bully everyone concerned.

With that said, who do you think will win?

I think Intel will win, even though I would hope that AMD would win (and
deservedly so). Intel has done more to stifle competitors and slow
innovation in the computer world than one can imagine.

Despite the fact that I like and use AMD CPUs only, I think what AMD is
doing indicates they are in a desperate position, however you look at it and
it really has very little to do with what they say the suit is about. I see
it as lashing-out at Intel, unfortunately..
Just my take on this.

Just when AMD is making great strides and establishing a
solid hold in the PC market, it goes ahead and, as in the
past, tries to take on Goliath. This David, AMD, would have
done well to go on its own merry way and continue to stake
our turf that Intel has long forgotten or neglected. Instead
of spending its money wisely, AMD is giving it away to its
attorneys. I would have really liked to see AMD overtake
Intel and I have yet to forgive Intel for its P3 PSN fiasco,
that helped jump-start AMD to its present state.

Whenever I read about someone knocking a company that has,'"obscene"
amounts of money, big bucks, I feel compelled to forward the email to
the North Korean , North Vietnamese and to the Cuban governement. They
LOVE that kind of talk!
