Anybody have info if and when AMD's new Dual Core Notebook chip comes out if
it will be pin compatible with the existing Turion MT chip. In other words
will I be able to pop out the Turion Chip and replace it with a new dual
core chip? I'm thinking on purchasing the MSI-1029 barebones notebook.

I believe that the new dual-core turions will NOT be compatible, because of
the DDR2 memory controller, not to mention the different pin-out.
