always BMP format when taking pics

I'm running updated windows xp professional 2002.

Recently when I take pictures from the web, windows will
automatically set the file to BMP format with file name
utitled despite of the original format (JPEG, GIF, etc)
and original name.

Is there a setting for this or it is just a bug in
windows/explorer? It is irritating because I just have to
rename files and that BMP format take up unecessary space.

Hi

Try clearing out your TIF folder. Open Internet Explorer and go to
Tools>Internet Options then click on 'Delete Files...'.

Wow it actually works, even though the system would stall
and unable to delete TIP, but I did delete cookies and
clicked on delete files (even though it does not delete
TIP at all because it has no response - busy with no
result). Back to normal now. Thanks for the help.
