Have you tried Tkoutline http://tkoutline.sourceforge.net/wiki/ It is both open source and is freeware. It is an outliner, which is much more powerful than it looks to begin with. It can organize anything, and you can use links within and outside the program, url's for example. Don't worry about the kids who scream that non-freeware may never be mentioned here. They need something to believe in, something to get upset about, they need an enemy to hunt.
