Alternate images on a slide

Hi all...

I would like to alternate between two images on one slide. I have
experimented with fading and animation, but cannot seem to make it smooth...
the image seems to want to chop back to the first image and then flash
between the first and second image.

Has anyone done this? I am using PowerPoint XP and have about 35 slides in
the presentation. I could create an animated GIF and use that instead, but
it seems like doing it inside powerpoint would be a better, cleaner
approach.

Hi Jason,

This can be done by using simple triggers. Triggers allow (in PowerPoint XP
and above) a user to click on an object and have certain animations begin.
So, lets build this:

1) Insert image A (this picture will not change but will be hidden)
2) Insert image B
3) Right click on image B and add
a) Entrance animation
b) Exit animation
4) In the animation pane, click on the pulldown menu to access the "Timing"
customizations on the entrance animation.
5) Click on the Triggers button and select Image A's picture name
6) OK out of the dialog boxes
7) In the animation pane, click the pulldown for the exit animation's timing
options.
8) click on the Triggers button and select Image B's picture name
9) OK out of the dialog box
10) insure everything is arranged correctly and run the presentation. How
does it look?

That did the trick! I am even going back and redoing some of the graphics
animation that I previously completed!
