Altering Add/Remove Programs descriptions

Hello...

I would like to edit a program's description as it appears
in Add/Remove Programs. Is that possible? How?

(In case you're interested: Eudora does not include its
version number, and I report off of Add/Remove Programs for
audits.)

Any suggestions?

Start/Run/REGEDIT

Navigate to this key:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

For most software installation there will be an entry, and a
corresponding key called "DisplayName". Change the value of
this key (NOT the name of the key itself!) to whatever you prefer.

I don't see a description of any programs listed in my a/r programs. I see
titles of the applications though, if that's what you mean.

DisplayName=Your modified display name
