For some unknown reason my "Windows" and "Program Files" folders have
changed to "Pictures" as opposed to "Documents (for any file type)" type.
This is evident by seeing "Picture Tasks" instead of the appropriate "File
and folder tasks" options at the top of the folder options menu (e.g.,
"Other Places", "Details", etc.) displayed on the left.
Actually, I know the cause (someone was using my computer recently on my
administrative rights user profile), but I don't know how it was
accomplished.
This cannot be changed via the Properties dialog because there is no
"Customize" tab for either of these two folders (obviously because they are,
so to speak, the King & Queen of directories).
I can't think of any problem(s) this would pose, but it still bugs me. I'm
quite sure there's a simple registry tweak to correct this, but I have no
idea where it would be. Would appreciate that one pearl of tech.
**Running fully patched WinXP Pro. I don't know if this will help, but on
the remote chance it's relevant, I have and use the following graphics
related editing programs (none recently installed): ACDSee 6.0; ACD
FotoCanvas 3.0; Adobe Photoshop CS; Adobe ImageReady CS; Adobe Premiere 6.5;
CompuPic Pro 6.23, IrfanView 3.91, Microsoft Photo Editor 3.023, Microsoft
Picture It! Photo 6.08
