ALT + TAB

I use ALT+SHIFT to switch stasks in my XP. Usally it works fine, and as I
press the ALT key, I see in the middle of the screen all the task icons, and
every TAB press moves the selection one task to the right. From time to time
this selction goes from left to right.

Can somene advise what goes wrong?

ALT + TAB should move cursor one place to the right
ALT + SHIFT + TAB should move cursor one place to the left
