Allowing Guests access to internet

I am the computer administrator, and when guests log on
they cannot access an internet connection. When I have
tried to set up a connection in the guest log-on, it says
i must be logged on as an administrator to do so. Any
tips?

You have to set up a normal account. Guest isn't allowed to connect to the
internet. Create the user, the go to Run and type 'control userpasswords2'.
Set the account as a Guest and the internet should be allowed.

So do I need to create another administrator account, set
up the connection details, and then revert it to a guest
acoount?

Michael,

Go to www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm, Line 32, Left column and
download Keep RAS Connection (EXE). This small utility will make one small
change to the Registry that will allow a dialup connection to stay active
while switching between users. You can initiate the dial up connection from
any account, then use Fast User Switching to log on to the Guest account.
They'll still have internet access.

If memory serves me, the guest account can get out on the internet if the
connection is made thru the LAN, i.e. using the network thru DSL/cable. If you
are using an analog modem, that's a different story.

Analog modems and the Guest account, are what Kelly's fix is designed to
work around.
