Sometimes I add words that I would like to omit from the Dictionary, but am
unable to find this function.

If you added these words yourself, by clicking the Add button for a
word that the spell checker said was misspelled, then the word is in
your custom dictionary, and it can be removed easily by the steps
described at http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/EditCustomDic.htm.

If the words are actually in the main dictionary that comes with Word,
you can't really remove them, but you can create a file that tells
Word to ignore the dictionary and mark the words as misspelled. See
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/ExcludeWordFromDic.htm for this.
