Allocate Frame error message - ?

Hello, and I hope that I am posting to the correct NG. If not, please direct
me to the correct one into which I should post my question.

Now for the question:

WinXP SP-1 (all patches, hotfixes, etc. except SP-2), 3.4GHz IV, 2GB RAM, HT,
60GB HDD, running tons of Adobe, Norton AV, StopZilla, and few imaging
programs, and have done recent full sweeps with XoftSpy, Spybot S&D,
SpySweeper, full NAV. Recently, I have begun receiving the following error
message, upon boot: Allocate Frame (title), Unidentified Frame Module (text)
in a small, centered error box with a red circle w/ with X, located to the
left of the text area, and an OK button. Nothing else. This just started, and
nothing new has been installed around the time that it began appearing.
Clicking OK closes the message box, and so far, nothing seems to fail to work,
or to work poorly - just this error on boot.

I have searched the MS XP knowledgebases, Google, and the Symantec databases,
but cannot find anything that possibly relates. I have run Norton Utilities
WinDoc to see if some problem exists in the Registry, but get a clean sweep
each time.

Does anybody know which program is throwing this error message? Other than "
Allocate Frame" at the top, there is no definition, detail. Nothing appears in
Event Log, except all the processes starting OK. I would appreciate any info,
direction, or thoughts.

TIA
Hunt

Go to Start/Run, and type MSCONFIG then look at the STARTUP TAB, to uncheck unwanted, checked items

i have had the exact same thing happen on a dell inspiron 8600. doesnt seem
to do any harm, but is a nuisance. in my case it began after i opened the
start up tab in msconfig and unchecked a few things i didnt think needed to
be there. well, windows indignantly informed me it didnt like what i did and
practically demanded i restore the startup menu like it was. so i did. but
ever since i get this frame error. i clicked on the links provided by
ferguson but could find nothing that related.
