All what I want from Vista is the handwriting recognition applet

I know, vista has tons of new things nice things, and a dark depressing
interface, a slow file system, a os struggling to run itself, everything is
way slower, tons of compatibility issues.

All what I want in my XP Tablet PC is the handwriting recognition panel of
vista, nothing else, I want the tablet pc to recognize my writing, the one
today is not good at it, and that's it.

I don't want the dark depressing interface, I don't want the slow os, I have
enough memory I don't want the super fetch, well, what's the point of it, if
it is to bring vista to a performance close to the current xp?

I have Google or msn search, and both of them are good enough, I love the xp
start button, I love the xp blue colors, I love the responsive interface of
xp, just the proper handwriting recognition is missing from it, at least for
me.

Thanks

Looks like you should stick to the good and old XP...

I iz very kritikal of Microsoft so I find myself in disagreement with you.

I downloaded the Vista Bet2 August from the MSDN download site and installed
it without any serious problem except for the old Intel network card..
Eventually I had to install it manually and XP duz recognise it and install
compatible drivers.

Yes - the interface is rather a facefull but you can transform to Vindows
Klassic interface to work az I du on my main XP machine. Plain blue desk top
and functional windows. None of those awful green captioned XP windows for
me.

Duznt seem to be slower than the XP was on the same machine when it woz my
production machine. (Subjective assesment), but it took me a long time to
find where the OutlookExpress woz hiding under a 'non de plume' - Windows
Mail. I wonder where they got that name from. Perhaps an expensive PR
company.

The default 'appearence' of the windows is nice and I have left it intact
but I have removed the desktop background picture for the more restfull
standard light grey/blue background.

One thing imperetive about computing is that you cannot be 'old'. You haz to
keep 'with-it'.

Like it or not, Vista iz the new 'With-it'. Get used to it.
