All URLs in IE6SP2 open up in Firefox??

I have a computer that just started doing something very odd. I use
both IE and Firefox for different things. Up to now, they've both
behaved normally. Now, for some reason, no matter how I go to a URL in
IE, clicking on the "links bar", entering a URL into the URL field, or
clicking on a link from a Google search, it always opens the URL in an
external Firefox window. If Firefox is running already, it opens it
up in that window. If Firefox is not running, it opens up a new
instance of it.

I have no clue what I might have done to put it into this state.

[We seem to be seeing a lot of these posts lately (links on an IE page
opening in FF). Wonder if a Firefox update or new version is behind it
all?]

David,

Type this in Start, Run:

cmd /c reg query "HKCR\CLSID\{C90250F3-4D7D-4991-9B69-A5C5BC1C2AE6}"
"%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\RegInfo.txt"

This is a single-line command. Then open "RegInfo.txt" file present in the
Desktop, and post the contents here. I'm trying to find if the problem is
caused by a WU fix. (Ref:
