All purpose Database

I have fiddled around with Access in the past but my new requirement is
beyond me. I need to develope or find a database that will combine contact
management with customer orders so that at the end of the month I can
generate commissions earned on the sales to the new customers I have found.
Microsofts templates for orders and contacts are fine, however I would like
to combine them for ease of use. PS, it would be handy to import from
Outlook also. If there is an existing template outside of Microsoft that I
can easily modify please let me know.

I may be wrong but if you are looking to creats a D Base to look after any
form of contract management you really should learn the basics of access and
not just copy another D Base. There ARE D Bases out there (many of them)
that will do everything you ask BUT it really would be worth spending some
time learning MS Access before you start releying on it.

If you looking for an easy way to start I could suggest
Microsoft Access ISBN 1-57231-934-8 (Big book but covers most of the items
you will need)

Also
Teach yourself Access ISBN 0-7645-3282-0
And a really good book if you're not used to the way access works is
Troubleshooting Access ISBN 0-7356-1160-2
Maybe the best book for begginer to learn the in's andout's of VBA (code) is
published by Microsoft called Fundamentals for Access ISBN 0-7356-0592-0

No I'm not a book seller - you can tap the ISBN numbers into Amazon to find
the books.
