I have lost a shortcut from Microsoft Office listed under All Programs in
Windows XP. Somehow I moved the shortcut to the desktop. Can someone tell
me how to get that back. Thanks.

Did you right click it & choose 'Add shortcut to desktop'? If so, just delete
it from desktop. Unless you actually uninstalled it, your MS Office
will/should still be in the "all programs" list.
HTH. :D L.

No, actually I dragged the Excel shortcup from Microsoft Office onto the
desktop and it i sno longer listed there. Thanks.

Try to left click and hold the icon, and drag to the start menu button in
the task bar, wait a second, the start menu should appear, again move it to
where you would like it. When you release the mouse button if should put the
icon within the start menu.

If you right click and hold, and drag the same, when you reach the
destination point you should get an open to copy or move, if you want to
keep the icon on the desktop too you can just have a copy within the menu
also.

Hope that helps, and is what you were after.

Regards.

Thanks. That did the job!
