all my toolbars have disappeared like a popup ad

When I launch IE now all I get is a browser window like you see in a pop up
advert. All my navigation tools, url field, google toolbar, everything! has
vanished and I can't right click anywhere to restore them. I invoked windows
explorer and used its IE toolbars to navigate but as soon as I reach a
subsequent page the problem recurs and I'm stuck. Help! I can't surf or
anything. I downloaded some patches hoping this would fix it.

Is there anything on top? If so, this sounds as though you
accidentally pressed F11, a toggle key to maximize the window size.
