All my .exe files r gone after installing anti virus program

Hi i just brought norton internet security 2004, it ran
pre scan and it found 214 infected files. but after
installing and restarting all files had mising .exe file.
can anyone help. its bugging me

What do you mean by "all files had mising .exe file"? Not very clear!

Some file can be cleaned, others have to be deleted. In that case you'll be
missing exe files
