You can't control what your senders send you.

I am experiencing the other half of this problem. Some of my e-mails are
being sent with an attachment where the text is a copy of the body of my
message. I do not want to send this attachment - why is it happening and how
do I stop it. This is only happening with one of my two identities and only
with .htm messages - plain text are ok. Also - I do not see the attachment
before it is sent but the attachment shows when the sent message is read.

Um, Outlook doesn't have identities. Are you using Outlook Express
perchance?

You are correct - I am using Microsoft Express 6. However - a test message
that I sent today has 7 .gif files mysteriously attached. I suspect a virus
or worm but I would think that my Norton's Internet Security would catch the
problem. My virus definitions are up-to-date and the email scanning is on.

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp=InternetExplorer
to get to the Internet Explorer groups, then click the plus sign next to
your version of IE to see the link to the Outlook Express group for that
version number. Good luck!
