All-In-Wonder 8500 data cable problems

Hi, I had the ATI All-In-Wonder 8500 installed in my system about 2 years
ago. I been having trouble with the "data cable" (don't know the official
name for it). It's the cable with a "zillion" pins that connect to the video
card on the back of the PC, as well as a place to plug in a regular PC
monitor. The other end has all the jacks where you hook your TV's S-Video
out, and has inputs/outputs for VCR, etc.

Anyways, I don't know if it's due to the weight where the monitor is plugged
into the cable at the point the pins go into the video card, or flimsy
design, but the cable works it's way out of the video card, and the pins get
bent in the process. I had to order another cable a year ago, which as last
look were around $40US, and it seems something as simple as removing the
cable from the back of the PC for a move, and then trying to re-insert the
cable on set-up bent the little wire pins beyond repair. I believe they got
bent just being in there, and again maybe to the weight of the cable pulling
on it. When I tried to reinsert it, it just wouldn't go in.

I'm tempted to buy another cable so I can have the functionality the
All-In-Wonder offers. Any ideas so I don't ruin another cable? Does anyone
else make that cable, or one that will work that's not as flimsy? Should I
just take PC and cable to a repair shop and have them do it? I would have to
have them attach it so it doesn't come off. Is there something either I or a
shop can put on the connection that secures it in place, so that even when I
move my PC, the cable stays firmly connected to the PC's video card. Thanks
much.

I just found the ATI website and their term for the part in question is the
AIW R8500DV INPUT/ OUTPUT BLOCK. Thanks.
