All IE shuts down when I close one IE window

I'm actually using IE 7.0 and Windows XP. Whenever I close one IE window,
the system closes ALL IE windows and I get the Debug, Ignore, Send window.
In the past 48 hours, I have installed Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 and
Skype, so I'm guessing one of these is the culprit. Does anyone know of a
fix for this? I checked for udpates and there were none. Thanks.

Do you now have two (2) anti-virus applications installed or didn't you have
one installed before you install KIS7? (Only one should be loading at
boot.)

1. Does this behavior persist if you start IE7 in No Add-ons mode?

To start IE7 in No Add-ons mode:

Right-click on the blue IE desktop icon and select Start without Add-ons; or

Start > (All) Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No
add-ons).

2. Does the problem persist if you Reset IE7 Settings (RIES)?

3. If you uninstall (a) IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6), (b)
all toolbars and (c) all third-party Windows Themes (including Window
Blinds) and don't reinstall IE7, does this behavior persist?

Hi Rich,

Try performing a system restore to the date while your IE was working fine.
Launch system restore:
start->all programs->accessories->system tools->system restore
Click Next and select a bolder date .
Click Next twice and wait for about 15min untill the message comes up on the
screen. Your computer would reboot once during system restore.

Thanks & Regards
Bob

I'll start with your 1st 2 questions if that is OK.
I had a previous version of Kaspersky that I uninstalled before installing
the new version.
IE in NO add ins mode closes just fine. I don't know much about add ons so
I'm not sure what this is telling me. Thanks.
