Hi,
As of today, all audio played on my pc is heavily
distorted - no matter which media player I use.
I have already tried the following:
1. Uninstalling/reinstalling codecs
2. Reinstalling driver
2. Uninstalling/reinstalling the device itself (Intel(r)
82801AA AC'97 Audio Controller)
3. System Restore to an earlier date when I remember it
sounding perfectly fine.
4. Turning down master volume, wave, sw synth, etc,...
It sounds like if you were to use WinAmp and turn the
preamp setting all the way up, but it does it on every
audio player I have tried. Does it with all audio
formats, and also bad audio when playing video files,
dvds, or anything else. I could not locate an updated
driver to see if that would change anything - I doubt it
anyways, as the same driver has always worked fine.
