Alignment Problems in Microsoft Word XP

Hi,

I am having issues when it comes to aligning text on Microsoft Word.

Everytime I want to center a word on a single line, such as the title of the
document I am typing, everything turns to center alignment. Also if I want to
right align a word on a single line by itself, everything turns to right
alignment.

Therefore, I am unable to select what things I want aligned. If I choose
center alignment, all my text will be centered aligned.

Is there any way I can fix this problem so that I can be able to choose the
alignment I want for a single line?

You have the "Automatically Update" checkbox checked in your Normal Style.
