Aligning autoshapes within a table/cell

I am designing a web page layed out with tables and cells. When I use an
autoshape in order to create better looking backgrounds (fills etc.) within
the cells, if the site is viewed on a screen with a resolution different than
the one I'm building it on, the autoshape does not align with the table or
cell. Instead it stays in its own world. For example, if the table is set to
align "centre" and be "85%" of the screen, the autoshape will position itself
say at "215 pixels" from the edge and that is where it will stay. How do I
get it to sit within the table or cell and realign itself as the table or
cell does?

Don't use autoshapes
- they are for IE browsers only and are absolutely positioned in the page
Use an image instead

Thanks Stefan.
I ended up just creating my own image for the background that looked the
same as the fill I had in the autoshape... Seems to work better. LOL!!
Appreciate the response.
