align labels on X axis

I have a simple line chart which charts progress of a project over a number
of years, per quarter.

Each year has a vertical gridline. I'd like for the year's label, e.g. 2005
2006 2007 to be below and BETWEEN the gridlines, not directly under the
gridlines as they are by default.

How can I move the year labels slightly to the right, to be centerd below
and between the gridlines?

Thanks for any help you can give.

In a line chart, you can format the axis, and on the Scale tab, check a
box that says "Y axis crosses between categories". You can't do this
readily in an XY Scatter chart. To switch, select the chart, choose
Chart Type from the Chart menu, and choose the line style you want.
