"leader" lines from X axis to label

Is there any way to get the tick mark on the X axis to extend down to where
I've offset my X axis labels? Another thought is vertical gridlines, but I
don't want them to stretch into the plot area. Any ideas?

Hi,

Perhaps this will work for you.
With data in range A1:C6 create a column chart.
C1: Data
A2: Label_1 B2: <SPACE> C2: 2: 1
A3: Label_2 B3: <SPACE> C3: 2
A4: Label_3 B4: <SPACE> C4: 3
A5: Label_4 B5: <SPACE> C5: 2
A6: Label_5 B6: <SPACE> C6: 1

Tick marks should extend down to encase both sets of labels.
Now replace <SPACE> with an actual space character.

Cheers
Andy

Have you tried a dummy series that is invisible (i.e. has no markers),
but has visible error bars?
