How do I put words as the Y axis values?

How do I change the y axis values to words?
I have a set of different distances that I want to put on the x axis and I want to scatter plot this against the y axis as either yes or no for if they have the attruibute there.

To sum up, different distances on the x axis and YES or No on the y axis. I would like a scatter plot so that I am able to see the area where it starts to cross over from yes to no.
